Delta Alliance Workshop on Inclusive Green Economic Development for Resilient Deltas and River Basins (4 November 2015)

Inclusive and sustainable economic development is essential to strengthen the resilience for current and future challenges in river basins and deltas worldwide. This fits in the mission of Wageningen UR “to explore the potential of nature to improve the quality of life” and Delta Alliance’s mission to “improve the resilience of the world’s deltas”. With this workshop, during the Amsterdam International Water Week,we would like to take the lessons learned from public and private funded projects to a next level.

Experiences from amongst others: Nestlé in Colombia, Heineken in the Netherlands, and international funded projects in Jordan Valley and Egypt will be shared in this workshop to derive lessons learned and recommendations for future initiatives in the field of Inclusive Green Economic Development.

We welcome private companies that value social and environmental responsibility for their operations, experts and decision makers from the public, (applied) research and political domains and managers of national and international funding programmes to join us in this workshop.
