| Publication: Ecosystem Services for Well-Being in Deltas This book answers key questions about environment, people and their shared future in deltas. It develops a systematic and holistic approach for policy-orientated analysis for the future of these regions. It does so by focusing on ecosystem services in the world’s largest, most populous and most iconic delta region, that of the Ganges-Brahmaputra delta in Bangladesh.

| World Water Forum 8: World Water Atlas gathers compelling stories on urgent water issues Presentation of the World Water Atlas in the Netherlands Pavilion at the World Water Forum 8, attended by Dutch special water envoy Henk Ovink. | Pavel Kabat, chair DA International Governing Board, appointed as new chief scientist and research director at WMO Pavel Kabat, chair Delta Alliance International Governing Board, has been appointed by WMO as its first chief scientist and research director. He will lead the overall strategic direction of the WMO science, and its underlying research activities, including the World Climate Research Programme, the World Weather Research Programme and WMO’s Global Atmosphere Watch, which monitors greenhouse gas concentrations, air quality and the ozone layer.
