During the 36th IAHR World Congress, which will be held in Delft - The Hague, the Netherlands, 28 June - 3 July, 2015 a special session entitled Deltas – from multiple pressures to integrated solutions will be organised. This session is organized within the framework of the recently established research focus area Future Deltas of Utrecht University.

Future Deltas aims to understand and predict how deltas under pressure of massive urbanization, land-use and climate change will change in the future and how societies can successfully deal with this. Future Deltas provides a unique interdisciplinary platform bringing together expertise in the fields of physical and human geography, physics, biology, and water and sustainability law.

The deadline for submission of an expression of interest (abstract of max. 250 words) is December 22nd 2014.
