We are pleased to inform you that Mrs Renske Peters has accepted her nomination by the International Governing Board as new Director of the Delta Alliance. As former Director Water at the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment and as member of the UNFCCC Climate Adaptation Committee she possesses excellent skills, enthusiasm, experience and international networks to consolidate what has been achieved so far and to further develop and strengthen the Delta Alliance organization and network.

She will succeed Mr Kees Slingerland who has indicated early 2013 that he would like to step back after having served as director since the start of the Delta Alliance initiative in 2009. We like to thank Kees for his energy and vision to help and build the Delta Alliance organisation and network as where it stands now: a globally recognised knowledge driven network with a mission to improve the resilience of deltas.
