During the World Estuary Alliance Conference, Delta Alliance hosted a strategy session on June 7 to define its mission and further strategy. With input from people working in deltas around the world, a mission for Delta Alliance was confirmed: to improve the resilience of deltas worldwide. To support this ambitious mission the Delta Alliance Resilience Strategy has been created, which provides a framework for network activities.

Coming soon is a 2011-2012 action plan for implementing the strategy - which we need your help with! If you see potential for you or your organization to contribute to the Delta Alliance Resilience Strategy contact your Wing Coordinator if there is one for your delta, or the international secretariat.

Also coming soon is the Delta Alliance Declaration, which will call for action towards more resilient deltas around the world.  People and organizations that would like to become a member of Delta Alliance will be invited to sign the Declaration. The first signatures will be received during the celebration of the launch of Delta Alliance in Rotterdam, 30th September 2010 within the Deltas in Times of Climate Change conference.
