This workshop is postponed till 3-4 August 2010 (formerly July 29, 30, 2010)

On August 3 and 4, 2010, the scoping workshop under Delta Alliance for the Indonesian wing will be organized. This scoping workshop will elaborate upon an earlier round table and kick-off meeting in Indonesia with stakeholders representing 25 or more institutions and individuals in 2009.

The round table called the need to share the existing and developing knowledge in Indonesia, and the need to determine together a road map and initial activities for the Indonesia Wing of Delta Alliance. The scoping workshop will function as a follow-up of this meeting.

Points on the agenda the first day of the workshop are sharing world-wide experiences in delta issues and adaptation, identification of participants in the Indonesian wing, elaboration on the results of the Delta Alliance questionnaire, and defining the aims and objectives of the Indonesian wing.

During the second day, themes and areas of Delta Alliance activities will be defined, and conditions for a successful implementation will be identified by small subgroups. The scoping workshop will conclude with recommendations for the development of the international delta network.
